Connecting Children to a Deployed Parent

Hey Ladies,

I got a comment from reader, Beth Allen about a website she has made to connect deployed parents with their children. Check out her website to see what it is all about and tell us what you think.

  1. We are just about to go through our first deployment and we have three children ages three, two and eight months. I've been trying to think of some good ways to help the children stay in touch with their dad. does anyone have any ideas?

  3. For those of you with school age children, ask you school about the Parent Portal. This is one of my favorite sites to set my parents up on. I am a Parent Liaison in Copperas Cove, TX (near Fort Hood), and a large number of our families are Military. This site will allow the parents to monitor grades and attendence, they can also receive emails (alerts) for all tardies, absences and grades below 70. For those of you with very young children, we made audio and video of Daddy reading to and with our daughter. Emails and cams of course. This site is great and I will definately share this with my parents!
